To mulch your trees and flowers, use a minimum of three inches of organic mulch. Proper mulching will not only help your plants grow correctly, but it also saves a lot of water. This means you are conserving water while saving money. You can grow to appreciate it as well.

Use six parts water with one part milk to spray the leaves of your garden plants regularly. This helps prevent mildew, which can cause your plants to die. You can keep this mixture for three weeks in your refrigerator. It is safe to use daily until the mildew is under control.

When gardening, know what is available for you to use. For example, purchase organic fertilizer rather than chemical fertilizer. Using compost is a great example. Benefits of using organic methods, as opposed to inorganic methods include, less use of toxic chemical buildups in drinking water and in the soil as well.

After your seeds have sprouted, heat lamps are not needed. Sprouting plants can be removed from the heat source. You must also take away plastic films from your containers in order to keep the warmth and humidity out. Keep a close watch on your seeds to know when to do this.
